A Less Technical Response to "There is no God."

With God, faith precedes proof. Those of us who know Him personally know this. We cannot prove Him to you. God proves Himself to those who humbly ask Him, as millions of people down the corridors of time can attest to, including myself; but He hides His discovery from those who prefer Him to not exist, or prefer to not obey Him if discovered. He looks into the deepest recesses of your heart and knows.
King David, wrote this, and his son Solomon agreed:
Only fools say in their hearts, “There is no God.” (Psalms 14, 53 and much of Proverbs)
God told Jeremiah:
If you look for me in earnest, you will find me when you seek me. I will be found by you.
James, the brother of Jesus, wrote,
If you need wisdom – if you want to know what God wants you to do – ask him, and he will gladly tell you. He will not resent your asking. But when you ask him, be sure that you really expect him to answer, for a doubtful mind is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. People like that should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. They can’t make up their minds. They waver back and forth in everything they do. (James 1)
Throughout the Bible, time and again, it is clearly demonstrated that faith precedes discovery.
Only someone who knows all things about all things visible and invisible can say with any degree of certainty, “There is no God.” Can you claim that about yourself? If so, your pride blinds you.
Jesus said:
“I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t be stumbling through the darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.”
The Pharisees replied,
“You are making false claims about yourself!”
Jesus told them,
“These claims are valid even though I make them about myself. For I know where I came from and where I am going, but you don’t know this about me. You judge me with all your human limitations, but I am not judging anyone. And if I did, my judgment would be correct in every respect because I am not alone – I have with me the Father who sent me. Your own law says that if two people agree about something, their witness is accepted as fact. I am one witness, and my Father who sent me is the other.”
They asked,
“Where is your father?” they asked.
Jesus answered,
“Since you don’t know who I am, you don’t know who my Father is. If you knew me, then you would know my Father, too.” (John 8:12-20)
Test me on this: Humble your heart and believe Jesus is who he said he is and you will SEE for yourself what I am talking about.
A More Technical Response to "There is no God."

Technical response: (not perfect logic, but a discussion starter)
Two options:
1) We have a Creator
2) We do not have a Creator
IF we do not have a Creator, something comes from nothing. That is an impossibility.
IF we have a Creator, it exists outside of its creation, our universe. We as internal components of the universe cannot scientifically observe that which is outside of it. Therefore a Creator cannot be scientifically proven or disproven. If a Creator exists, it exists regardless of what we, the internal components of the universe, believe.
If we, components of the universe, notice order, symmetry, natural laws by which it operates, etc., we can explain it in one of two ways:
1) order by design
2) order by accident (which brings us back to Creator does not exist)
Since a Creator cannot be proven through scientific means, then only two ways to know if it does exist:
1) we can SUPPOSE that the order is by design and therefore built by a designer
2) the Creator can incorporate itself into the creation by becoming part of it
The distinction that Jesus Christ has in history is that he actually claimed to be the Creator revealing Himself to the creation. He then gathered eyewitnesses to demonstrate that he had the creative power to justify that claim. The eyewitnesses recorded their observations. We can choose to believe that their account accurately or inaccurately reflects reality, but there is a historical/legal argument toward belief since many of the eyewitnesses were executed for sticking to their account of what happened and nobody at that time was able to disprove their claims.
The question is whether Jesus Christ is who he says is…the Creator revealing Himself to the creation, explaining to the created beings why they were created and how they should operate in the universe.
A person who believes that the eyewitnesses of Christ are accurate in their recordings, at the most basic level accept the logic that a Creator exists and has condescended to reveal itself to us in our form, and told us how we are to operate. That person chooses to listen to what that Creator says. As with anything, if we operate outside the parameters of our intended purpose we will only damage ourselves.

I wrote this blessing for my father, who is still alive and well, thank God. Feel free to borrow it and use it to honor your father this Father’s day or any day.
Let it be known to all whose ears hear these words and whose eyes scan this page that we, the children of our father, [INSERT FATHER'S NAME HERE] , do raise our voices and our pens to proclaim him honored and blessed.Though our list is merely a short remembrance of his honorable deeds, we must humbly defer to our Heavenly Father to remember the truest account of them, of which no quantity of ink or paper could justly record. From this day and forevermore, we bless [INSERT FATHER'S NAME HERE] for the following:
- For loving the Lord his God with all his heart, soul, mind and strength.
- For reading, praying, speaking, teaching, trusting and LIVING the Word of God as it is written in the Holy Bible.
- For loving, honoring, cherishing and protecting our dearest mother in the best, truest, example of husband we have wished to imitate.
- For firmly, tenderly, graciously and diligently nurturing each of us in our differences to become everything that God intended for us to become in all aspects of living.
- For faithfully and effectively executing his calling as provider, and instilling in each of us that work ethic and standard which has blessed us and has prepared us to do likewise.
- For never forsaking his God, his wife or his children, but rather facing with courage and bravery the path of manhood and chivalry that prompts this proclamation.
For these reasons and those unmentioned, we rise up to call you blessed.
