Evolution Still Hypothetical

In a recent article on Evolution vs. Intelligent Design in the New York Times, Douglas H. Erwin, a paleobiologist at the Smithsonian Institution is quoted as saying, “One of the rules of science is, no miracles allowed. That’s a fundamental presumption of what we do.”
There is a major flaw in that rule:
IF miracles are NOT allowed
BUT a miracle DID happen
THEN the rule is invalid, and the theories based on that rule are equally flawed.
Question: Should we be forced to accept the claims of “scientists” who refuse to look at all possible scenarios?
A scientist uncovers facts of the natural world around them. However, when it comes to interpreting those facts their presupposition of the existence or the non-existence of a God acts as a filter. Interpretation is subjective by its very nature.
Question: What if the scenario they reject (based on arbitrary rules) happens to be the way things really happened?
Evolutionists would have us believe their interpretation is not subjective. But it is. To demonstrate this, let us employ the same arguments they use.
The evolutionist says: “If evolution is true, we should expect to see certain things in the world around us.”
The creationist says: “If God created the world as it is/was, we should expect to see certain things in the world around us.”
The problem is that for every piece of “supporting evidence” that the evolutionist uses to bolster their interpretation, it can be used equally to support the claims of the creationist. That is because they both agree (ironically) that all life, as it is and has been, is rooted in a common origin. For the evolutionist, the origin is within nature. For the creationist, it is outside of nature.
Evolutionary theory can only wade where creationist theory can swim. Creationist theory allows room for all the realities of life, both physical and metaphysical. The evolutionist is limited by his presuppositions to the periodic table of elements.
On a more personal note, the evolutionist will never be able to explain Christ, who claimed to be God and proved it to those around him; whose family and friends were tortured for not renouncing what they all witnessed first-hand. The evolutionist will never be able to explain why the person who turns from a life of sin and follows Christ finds freedom and transformation 100% of the time, just like He promised.
