This song is performed in all black keys and has a beautiful oriental sound to it. The song was named in honor of the opening of Maria’s Big House of Hope, a special care center for orphans with acute medical needs.

Testing The Limits Of Bandcamp.com

Over the years I’ve used several tools to sell my music online, but none of them have been as easy to setup, sell, purchase, and share my music as Bandcamp.com.

However, a couple of things have been missing from Bandcamp:
1) a way to sell sheet music
2) a way to sell music licenses so that people can use my music in commercial media projects

So I decided to experiment with Bandcamp, and I figured out a way to add them.

I added the sheet music as a physical product where you can choose which song you want to learn. I will then email the sheet music to you at your PayPal email address.

As for licensing my music for commercial use, I trust you will pay me what the music is worth for your project. Since I let you pay what you want to download my music in the first place, I setup a link to let you pay for a license at $10 minimum per song. If it’s worth more to your project, please consider increasing that amount. It’s an honor system, but people respect that. Hey, it’s a lot cleaner than a spit-handshake!

So go to http://music.johnalbertthomas.com and let me know if this new system makes sense to you. Perhaps someday they’ll let me add sheet music and licensing at the song level, but this should suffice for now.

Night Falls Softly Sheet Music

By request, I have released the sheet music for “Night Falls Softly”, which can be heard on my second album, Daddy Daughter Dance, formerly titled Piano Works, Vol. 2.

I love playing this piece at night time after the kids have gone to bed. It’s so calming and relaxing. Just don’t fall asleep at the piano!
