ROYALTY-FREE MEDIA PROJECT LICENSE
1. License
When you purchase an album license, you are granted a multiple use license for each piano work on that CD under the condition that
a) You retain ownership of the CD, and that
b) You retain ownership of each project in which the piano works are used.
The license is valid for the purchaser only and is non-transferable.
The following uses are granted under this license:
Web Site Use:
You are granted unlimited use of the licensed piano works on your web site provided that the music cannot be downloaded by your visitors. You must also provide an obvious credit to me with a link back to http://johnalbertthomas.com.
Example, “Solo Piano courtesy of John Albert Thomas.”
CD / DVD / Slide Show Use:
You are granted unlimited use of the licensed piano works in your CD/DVD/Slide Show provided that the music is embedded into your existing product or project and cannot be downloaded by your viewers.
A credit should appear in the project as follows…

Film/Web Video Use:
You are granted limited use of the licensed piano works in your short, independent film or website video.

Limit: Use of John’s music in a theatrical film or television broadcast is not covered by this license. For use of John’s music in commercial film or television, please request a quote on this site.
On-Hold Music / Lobby Music:
You are granted unlimited use of John’s music as “hold” music for as long as you possess the CD, without limitation, royalty-free. However, we do ask that your “agents” be informed so that if a customer should ask “What music was that?” they can answer “John Albert Thomas”.
Radio Spots:
You are granted unlimited use of John’s music in radio spots, without limitation, royalty-free.
2. Unauthorized Use
Piano works are supplied for limited commercial use only. You may not offer any of John’s products, modified or unmodified, for redistribution or resale of any kind. If you are not in direct ownership of a project, you may not include John’s piano works in that project. You may not place any of John’s products, modified or unmodified, on a diskette, CD, website or any other medium for distribution. If you own a website, you may not allow your users to access John’s piano works, even if they are hosted under your domain.
Here are other limitations:
Commercial Theater or Television Releases:Use of John’s music in a theatrical film or television broadcast is not covered by this license. For use of John’s music in commercial film or television, please request a quote on this site.
Adult Themes:
Product available through this license cannot be included in projects that may be inappropriate for children (containing violence, profanity or nudity). If your project contains any of these elements, but you still feel the music is appropriate, please contact me to explain.
Sharing, Trading, Downloading:
Products licensed cannot be redistributed, traded, made available for download, or otherwise transferred to anyone else. Nor can they be included in a project that allows the end-customer to transfer the products for personal use.
Reselling:
Piano works cannot be resold as piano works. You cannot license John’s music, create your own CD or DVD of those songs, and resell it as your own product.
3. Ownership
You may not claim intellectual or exclusive ownership to any of John’s products, modified or unmodified. All products are property of John Albert Thomas.
4. Refund Policy
If you are not completely satisfied with our product, you may return it in 14 days for a full refund.
5. Warranty
If a CD does not arrive, is damaged, or is defective, please contact me on this site and I will ship another copy to you.
6. Modifications
You are authorized to make any necessary modification(s) to John’s products to fit your specific needs, however, you may not redistribute or re-release John’s piano works, even after modifications have been made, as Creative Commons or under any license whatsoever. All piano works are still copyright of John Albert Thomas, all rights reserved.
7. Payments
All payments are handled through PayPal as JAT Enterprises.
