I could see that song (or any of yours) in a movie. Zuzu's Petals would be at a point when the characters were by themselves walking alone and thinking or the movie is flashing through scenes of their life to get the viewer caught up. It would be great music to go with a childhood memory scene. I love all your songs. They are emotionally stirring but uplifting at the same time. Very hopeful music. I didn't know you were a composer! Good job!

John, as I listened to this beautiful song again
I think it is one of my favorites. O.K. - I know I
say that about all of them but after all I am your
Mom. I get to do that. Thank you for once again
using the gift God has given you to inspire us.
Your heart and His comes through.

Love you, Mom

Monica,

When it came to picking a name for this work reminded me of angels and bells, which reminded me of the quote, "Teacher says, 'Every time a bell rings an angel gets its wings.'" From there it was an easy decision. :)

I've been trying to think of ways to let folks know that this music is great for bedtime. My kids have been sleeping to it every night for years. A bedtime book w/ music is a great idea. I have some children's poems that I wrote in high school (if I can find them) that I could use as a starting point. Are you still writing poetry? Send me a note on my Contact page.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Monica.

John,

I love this, I picture Zuzu looking at her wonderful flower in the movie and loving it. As the song goes on I see her watching the petals fall off and get a little sad but when Dad shows her that he fixes it she is so happy again. I love the movie "It's a Wonderful LIFE", it is my all time favorite. GReat job on the song.

John,

This is so beautiful. Since Delaney was very small she and I have shared a love of a big encyclopedia of flower fairies with gorgeous illustrations by Cicely Barker--do you know her work? In the book each fairy has a poem or song lyrics to go with it, and I always make up my own tunes to sing them too her. Maybe it was your title but this song could totally be the music for one of her fairy songs. During Danica's morning nap I told her we will get the book and try to sing one to your music. :) I will let you know which fairy we pick.

It makes me think of anyone who would be working one some sort creative project like painting or sculpture. Someone engrossed in an activity that they love - gardening, art, music, dance, etc...

Playful and delightful.
